During the 60th anniversary, the Star Trek franchise will go to a place that has never been gone before, from an action figure perspective.

The groundbreaking original television series, which debuted on NBC on September 8, 1966, spawned a fleet of subsequent film and television companies, including Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and is currently set to arrive in 2026 for its third season of Paramount+ and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.

With the upcoming 60th anniversary of the space franchise, fans could be taking part in a massive celebration. Collectors already have a lot to be excited about.

The first wave of expected figures later this year include Captain Jericho (Star Trek: Prodigy), Peter Preston from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Karn, and the Female Klingon from Star Trek III: The Search for Seake.

Best known for television specials such as “Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History” and “To Earth with Zack Efron” (both on Netflix), Nacelle Company won the rights to Market Star Trek playsets and accessories in 2024.

These numbers are currently half the size (approximately 6-7 inches tall) and are currently available for pre-order (pricing separately for $28.99) followed by three additional waves.

  • Second wave – This fall will include Captain Genewy (Star Trek: Voyager) and nog (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine).
  • Third wave – It was recently released at San Diego Comic-Con and will be released this fall. The batch features the entire main cast of the original Star Trek series, from Captain James T. Kirk, Spock and Uhura to nurses and final medical officers Christine Chapel and Yeoman, and ultimate communications officer Janis Land.
  • Wave 4 -The wave numbers announced at Comic-Con include Captain Benjamin Cisco from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Captain Genre Look Picard (Star Trek: First Contact).

The arrival of a new line of Star Trek action figures “it shows just how meaningful and relevant this series is, even 60 years from now. It’s very proud of me,” Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, son of late Star Trek creator Jean Roddenberry and CEO of Roddenberry Entertainment, said in a statement to the United States today.

“The original series holds a special place in Star Trek history, science fiction history, and television history,” Roddenberry said. “I’m excited to see them working with Star Trek 60th and being respected.”

Roddenberry was not yet ready to share other aspects of its 60th anniversary. “However, don’t worry, it’s Roddenberry’s intention to provide trekking fans with the opportunity to be part of the celebration and join the Trek community,” added Roddenberry, who suggested Trekki follow the brand on Facebook, Instagram, threads and YouTube.

“Lifelong” Trekkie Command Mission to Make Star Trek Toys

Nacelle CEO and founder Brian Volk-Weiss is honestly interested in Star Trek toys as the owner of a collection of over 5,000 toys. He chose the company’s name based on the words of the warp engine housing on the spacecraft.

“I’m a lifelong Star Trek toy collector and a lifelong fan,” Volk-Weiss told USA Today.

When he met Paramount to secure his license, Volk-Weiss said he told the studio he was planning to deal with Trekki who wanted action figures beyond obvious characters like Kirk and Picard.

“Where is Captain Garrett? Where is Captain Jericho? Where is Peter Preston?” he said. “That was my pitch. …I basically said, “I think the foundation of the Star Trek community is strong enough to give them what they want, and Barkris is the biggest example.

The company’s plan to release action figures is a wave of alternative waves for the person who ordered the spaceship bridge with waves of various characters.

When Nacelle announced that he was releasing Star Trek Toys, the news release included an email address, encouraging fans to chime with numbers they want to see. The decision on what to produce was “that was absolutely 100% affected,” Volk-Weiss said.

Nacelle has released a total of four action figures to “assure the community that this doesn’t become a two-wave line.”

Toys made in China fall under President Trump’s unstable tariff policy. However, Volk-Weiss said the company is planning to “keep everything on the schedule and lock prices” to help other Nacelle divisions manage the impact on profit margins.

“My goal is to make this the most successful Star Trek line ever, or to tie playmates together from at least the ’90s run,” says Volk-Weiss. “So if you want to do that, I can’t raise my price and I can’t slow anything down to maintain the trust of the community. This sounds cheap, but that’s true – if we lose, it’s the line fails.”
