Skittles’ Elijah Wood can film live Super Bowl ad at home

Skittles and Elijah Wood are looking to make a splash with an ambitious live commercial for Super Bowl LX.

Mars, Incorporated, the confectionery company that owns Skittles, announced on January 13 that its Super Bowl LX commercial will be a little different this year, featuring select GoPuff customers during the live ad. Until January 21st, customers of delivery service GoPuff can enter to win a live commercial for Skittles that Wood performed on their doorstep during the Super Bowl on February 8th.

Owners of single-family homes with front yards large enough for a film crew can enter to win a unique experience at delivertherainbow.com.

What does the Skittles Super Bowl Commercial Contest involve?

The winner of the contest will receive a live commercial performed by Wood (or another performer, if desired) on February 8, 2026, the day of the first Super Bowl. Live performances will include production staff, equipment and staging, in addition to branded decor and set elements, in accordance with the Official Contest Rules available at delivertherainbow.com/pages/contact.

How to enter the Skittles Super Bowl Commercial Contest

To participate, U.S. homeowners 18 years of age or older must complete the submission form at delivertherainbow.com. Applicants must submit their name, email, address, and reason for being selected for the commercial. According to the contest rules, the latter must be between 50 and 250 words and cannot be generated by AI.

Who is eligible to compete in the Skittles Super Bowl Commercial Contest?

According to the official contest rules, participants must meet the following criteria:

  • Legal resident of the United States
  • 18+
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
  • Must have a current Gopuff account at the time of entry and winner selection;
  • Own and currently reside in a single-family home or detached home with a front yard large enough to host live performances outdoors

Individuals who rent or lease, do not have access to a large front yard, and/or are employees of GoPuff, Mars, Inc. and their respective affiliates are not eligible for admission. Immediate family members of employees of GoPuff, Mars, Inc. and its affiliates will also not be admitted.

How is the winner of the Skittles Super Bowl commercial chosen?

According to the official content rules, applicants will be judged on a scale of 100 points. Let’s take a look at the rubric.

  • Creativity and originality (0-40 points)
  • Skittles Spirit (Fun, Color Inspiration, Brand Alignment (0-30 points)
  • Storytelling and Communication (0-30 points)

When will the winner be announced?

According to contest rules, potential winners will be notified by phone or email on or about January 21st.

To receive a prize, selected winners must pass a background check, provide proof of home ownership, photos or videos of the home’s exterior, permit a virtual or in-person on-site inspection, and agree to production timing requirements, in accordance with contest rules.
