Jimmy Kimmel talks about his Emmy win at ‘South Park’ premiere
Jimmy Kimmel joked at the 1999 premiere of South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut that he had his Emmy win on the hood of his car.
The second biggest night in television saw Sir David Attenborough score a historic win as he became the oldest winner of the 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards.
The famous 99-year-old broadcaster won the award for Outstanding Daytime Personality at the ceremony on Friday, Oct. 17, surpassing the record held by Dick Van Dyke, who won last year at age 98.
The soap opera “General Hospital,” a darling of the Daytime Emmy Awards, dominated the category again this year, leading with seven wins, including the top prize for Best Daytime Drama Series.
“Live With Kelly and Mark” won Best Daytime Talk Series, and Drew Barrymore won Best Daytime Talk Series Host for “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
Mario Lopez hosted the ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, where television journalist Deborah Norville received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Eligible programs are those broadcast from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
