Bikini Bottom’s finest food is coming to a Burger King near you.
The fast food chain announced on Monday, Dec. 1, that it will launch an all-new SpongeBob menu in partnership with “The SpongeBob Movie: Find Squarepants.” The menu will be available for a limited time at Burger King restaurants in the U.S. starting December 2nd, while supplies last.
According to a news release, the menu includes creations “inspired by all of your favorite SpongeBob movie characters,” including:
- SpongeBob’s Krabby Whopper: A 1/4 pound beef patty is flame-grilled on a yellow square bun and topped with melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and generous amounts of ketchup and mayonnaise.
- Mr. Krabs’ Cheese Bacon Tots: Crispy, coin-shaped tots are stuffed with melted cheese, flavorful bacon bits, and fluffy potatoes, and are packaged in a treasure chest carton.
- Patrick’s Starberry Shortcake Pie: Strawberry shortcake pie slice, creamy layer of strawberry and vanilla flavor, crunchy cookie crumble, shortcake cookie crumble, pink star sprinkles.
- Pirate Frozen Pineapple Float: An icy, refreshing frozen pineapple-flavored drink topped with tropical-flavored cold foam.
- Bikini bottom bundle: Can’t choose just one? Enjoy all four items in our pineapple-shaped Under the Sea box. Comes with a medium float and 8 pieces of cheese bacon tots.
- King Jr. Meals: Burger King will offer a special edition King Jr. Meal in a pineapple-shaped Under the Sea box featuring one of six collectible SpongeBob toys and a limited edition SpongeBob crown.
“This latest partnership with The SpongeBob Movie may be our most exciting menu yet, with four delicious menu innovations, unique toys and exclusive packaging including two special edition BK Crowns,” Burger King Chief Marketing Officer Joel Yasinski said in a news release.
Following Wendy’s collaboration with Krabby Patty, Burger King’s SpongeBob also appears
Wendy’s has teamed up with Paramount to launch the Krabby Patty Collaboration, which will offer two menu items for a limited time to commemorate SpongeBob SquarePants’ 25th anniversary in October 2024.
Items included the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty and the Krabby Patty Collaborative Burger, a spin on the chain’s iconic cartoon burger.
The Krabby Patty Collaboration program brings food inspired by the Krabby Patty from SpongeBob SquarePants into the real world and onto menus for the first time, according to a news release. This animated show first aired on Nickelodeon in 1999.
