The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, August 28th that more than 150,000 pressure washers are recalled on safety risks associated with fires and explosions.
TTI Outdoor Power Equipment, Inc., Anderson, South Carolina, according to a CPSC online post. recalls some of the Ryobi Electric Pressure Washing Solution.
According to the post, the capacitors in the pressure washer can overheat and burst, causing parts to drain, and the impact can pose a risk of serious injuries to the user or bystander.
As of the recall date, TTI’s outdoor power equipment reported that it had received reports of overheating of 135 capacitors, including 41 instances of the explosion.
The company did not elaborate on the extent of the injury.

Model: RY142711VNM – Electric 2700 PSI Pressure Washer Next Serial Number:

According to the CPSC, around 16,000 people were sold in Canada and around 764,000 people were sold in the US, the Safety Agency reported.
Pressure Washer Repair Kit:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pressure washer and visit https://www.ryobitools.com/recall to determine if the pressure washer is included in the recall.
