Seven men have been charged in connection with the largest jewel robbery in US history. They escaped in 2022 with over $100 million in gems.

From sparkling rubies, sapphires and emeralds to diamond-covered necklaces and Rolex watches, from transports where prosecutors say “the biggest jewelry robbery in American history” can be seen straight through the windows of a Rodeo Drive shop.
The stolen gems include almond-sized sapphire stones, another ring of diamonds intricately woven between pools of amethyst, and a pair of hanging earrings made of six different gems.
On July 11, 2022, the jewelry was stolen from a semi-truck in Brink and held a pit stop at a gas station at 2am. According to federal prosecutors, one of the truck’s armed guard drivers went inside for food and went inside for food, and a robber crew broke the truck and escaped in 24 bags filled with jewels estimated to cost $100 million.
The crime went unsolved for nearly three years before it announced charges against seven men in connection with the robbery on Tuesday, June 17th.
In addition to the robberies that the US lawyers consider to be “the biggest jewel robbery in US history,” the man has been charged with a series of thefts from various cargo trucks since March 2022.
“They were definitely professional, organized and prepared,” said Jena McCabe, a US lawyer who indicted the case, told USA Today. “They obviously solved a very successful system and were able to take cargo load after cargo loading.”
