- The Tesla Model 3 has been named Edmunds.com’s Top Rated Electric Vehicle of 2026 for the second year in a row.
- Edmunds.com has selected the Honda Civic Hybrid as a top-rated car for 2026.
- Other winners include the Ford Maverick for Top Rated Truck and the Rivian R1T for Top Rated Electric Truck.
Tesla’s sales have declined since the elimination of the $7,500 federal tax credit and CEO Elon Musk worked with President Donald Trump to cut federal workforces, but one of the company’s sedans was recently named the top-rated electric vehicle of 2026 by Edmunds.com.
According to the site, the Tesla Model 3 is the top-rated electric vehicle of 2026 for the second year in a row due to its “speed, range, comfort, space, technology, accessibility, and convenience.”
“The Tesla Model 3 may be the best value electric vehicle you can buy, with an Edmunds rating of 8.1 out of 10, a starting price of $43,880, and an Edmunds-tested range of 338 miles,” the website says. “This is the best Model 3 ever. It’s impressively balanced, thanks to improved build quality, ride quality, and a compelling combination of efficiency, performance, and value.”
“If you want a sensible electric vehicle, this is a no-brainer,” said Jonathan Elfallan, director of vehicle testing at Edmunds.
