Popular snack treatments have been recalled as packaging errors can create an allergy risk.
Mondelēz Global announced on Tuesday, July 8th that it recalls a carton of Ritz Peanut butter cracker sandwiches that may have been mislabeled.
The four carton sizes included in the recall may be labeled as cheese-type sandwiches rather than peanut butter variety, creating a risk of peanut allergy.
According to the recall announcement, the recall started after it was discovered that the rolls used to package individually wrapped products containing peanut butter may contain defects due to supplier errors.
According to the company, the external cartons are correctly labeled with a warning that the product contains peanuts.
According to the company, no reports of injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
