Progresso soup and chicken noodle soup flavored hard candy released
Progresso will release “Suckable Soup,” a chicken noodle soup-flavored hard candy that will be released for a limited time during the flu and cold season.
If you wanted a scarf that smelled like your favorite cough drops, you’re in luck.
Swiss company Ricola, known for its cough drops, teas and breath mints, exclusively reveals to USA TODAY that it is introducing a new limited-edition scarf infused with Ricola’s “signature Swiss alpine herbs.”
The scarf was designed in Europe using “premium fibers” and “slightly scented with natural essential oils,” according to a news release. Each scarf has a small hidden pocket to stash your cough drops when you’re out and about.

A company spokesperson told USA TODAY that the scarf, which comes in two scented versions: Lemon Balm + Mint and Peppermint, will be available in limited quantities at RicolaCollection.com starting November 12.
The scarves cost $40 each, according to the website.
Ricola is the latest brand to get creative with cough drops
Ricola is the latest brand to get creative with its cough drops.
In January, Progresso introduced Soup Drops, a chicken noodle soup-flavored hard candy drop similar to cough drops, giving soup lovers a new way to consume chicken noodle soup during cold and flu season.
“These flavorful drops are available for a limited time this month, in the midst of cold and flu season, in conjunction with National Soup Month,” the company said in a news release at the time.
The drops, which Progresso called “suckable soup,” tasted like soup, herbs, soft egg noodles, and a hint of parsley. Each can contains 20 individually wrapped candies, similar to a regular Progresso soup can.
