Kenvue Stock plunged sharply on Friday, September 5th. This reports that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. proposes a link between autism and the company’s use of Tylenol medication by pregnant women.

Tylenol, a popular over-the-counter painkiller with an active ingredient in acetaminophen, is made by Johnson & Johnson spin-off Kambo. First, the company moved its global headquarters to New Jersey, where it cut ribbons for the new location along with Gov. Philmurphy and then CEO Thibeaumontgon.

The RFK Jr. autism report, touted by President Donald Trump’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative, is expected to be released this month, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Kenvue told the WSJ in a statement that he “continuously evaluates science and believes there is no causality” between acetaminophen, pregnancy and autism. Kenvue added that there is information provided by the FDA and major healthcare providers “consent the safety” of the drug, their use in pregnancy, and Tylenol labels. The FDA website says it has found no “clear evidence” that proper use of acetaminophen during pregnancy can lead to pregnancy, birth, neurobehavior, or developmental outcomes.
