Testimony from the victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was too much for a lawmaker to bear.

Rep. Nancy Mace of R-South Carolina left House surveillance, and the Government Reform Committee closed the doors with Epstein victims on early September 2nd after “it was extremely difficult to hear them.”

“A completely blown away panic attack. Sweats. Hyperventilation. Shaking. I can’t breathe,” Mace wrote on social media to explain her reaction to the testimony. Mace was shedding tears when she left.

In a February speech on the house floor, Mace accused her former fiancé and three other men of drugging and raping her and the other women. Mace’s ex-fiance denied the charges.

“We feel the great pain that every victim is fighting for themselves, as all victims are fighting for themselves, as none of them will fight for us,” wrote Mace, who is running for governor in South Carolina.

After returning from the August break, there was a new push by lawmakers to release government records from the Epstein incident. The House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena to the Epstein Records on August 5th, beginning to publish some of the records from September 2nd.

The administration, which seeks to shut down a book about Epstein, a wealthy convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019, has generated fierce criticism, including Trump’s MAGA base while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

The New York chief examiner ruled Epstein’s death as a suicide, but some, including many Trump’s loyalty, have questioned the discovery and whether the government is protecting Epstein’s potential clients from public places.

The Department of Justice has announced July 7th, July 7th, which shows that a “client list,” a guilty “systematic review” that says “no further disclosure is appropriate or guaranteed” revealed what the “systematic review” of the document revealed.
