Walmart brand cottage cheese recalled
The FDA has announced a recall of Great Value brand cottage cheese sold in 24 states. This includes fat-free and low-fat small curd varieties sold from February 17th to February 20th.

More fried rice products, some of which were sold at Trader Joe’s nationwide, have been recalled due to possible glass contamination, according to the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Agency.
The recall notice, posted by the agency on March 3, expands on a previous announcement made by Oregon-based food manufacturer Ajinomoto Foods North America in mid-February regarding chicken fried rice. This was after the manufacturer notified the agency about the customer’s complaint.
“After further investigation, we determined that plant-based ingredients, specifically carrots, were the likely source of the glass contamination. This also affected the additional products included in this expanded recall,” FSIS said in a statement.
No injuries have been reported so far.
Which products may be affected?
According to FSIS, Ajinomoto Foods North America is recalling 36,987,575 pounds of chicken and pork fried rice, ramen, and shumai products, including ready-to-eat and non-ready-to-eat items, under the brand names “Ajinomoto, Kroger, Linlin, Taipei, and Trader Joe’s.”
“The best-before date for these products is February 28, 2026 to August 19, 2027,” the agency continued. “Products subject to the recall have an establishment number P-18356, P-18356B, or P-47971 inside the USDA mark of inspection.”
According to the company, Trader Joe’s products affected by this recall include chicken fried rice, chicken shumai, vegetable fried rice, and Japanese-style fried rice.

FSIS advises consumers to throw away the product or return it to the store for a refund.
