The Prince and Princess of Wales are scheduled to move to their new home in Windsor later this year.
According to the UK’s PA Media News Agency, William and Kate will be relocated to the 8-bedroom Forest Lodge, surrounded by leafy Windsor Great Park.
“The Welsh family will move home later this year,” a Kensington Palace spokesman confirmed to CNN on Sunday.
The family’s current main home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor is stones away from the new facility.
Earned permission for minor internal and external changes at the property earlier this month, cited the edited planning application that continued for Windsor and Maidenhead Royal Borough.
The local council’s decision notice mentions the removal of windows, working on fireplaces, Pennsylvania added that Park Lodge had undergone £1.5 million (approximately $2 million) restoration work in 2001.
According to the PA, photos taken inside the house at the time showcase the original stonework, elaborate plaster cornices and ceiling decorations at the facility.
It’s not the first time my family has settled in a new home.
In August 2022, it was announced that the couple, entitled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, would be forced out of London during the semester to give their children a “normal” family life.
The latest move follows a turbulent era for the family after Kate revealed that he had cancer diagnosis and began chemotherapy last March.
When she was treated, she retreated from public life and made several appearances last summer. In September, she announced that she had completed her chemotherapy and “doesn’t do what she can to keep her cancer.”
