White House releases details of President Trump’s MRI scan
The White House has released details of an MRI scan taken as part of President Donald Trump’s “comprehensive administrative medical examination.”
WASHINGTON – In his clearest words yet, President Donald Trump said he will not be the Republican presidential nominee in 2028 and predicted his Republican successor will be another person in his administration.
President Trump addressed the upcoming presidential election during a marathon Cabinet meeting, claiming that the Republicans will be in a better position than the Democrats in 2028 because of the Democrats’ “really bad policies.”
“That’s not me,” President Trump said. “It’s probably someone sitting at this table. It could be a few people sitting at this table, it could be a few people sitting at this table running together.”
Also at the Cabinet table were Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, both of whom were considered strong candidates to succeed Trump as the Republican nominee.
After hinting at the possibility of an unconstitutional third term for much of his first year in office, President Trump has made several statements acknowledging that he cannot run again in 2028.
The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states: “No person shall be elected to the office of President more than twice.” Nevertheless, Trump has been considering the idea of running again for months and even sold Trump 2028 hats.
President Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on October 29, “It’s clear when you read it: I’m not allowed to run.” “It’s too bad.”
In August, Trump told reporters that Vance was the “most likely” heir to Trump’s MAGA movement and would have a “probable advantage at this point” in winning the 2028 Republican nomination. But the president also spoke passionately about Rubio, who ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican presidential primary.
