The fourth and final rounds of the 2025 PGA Championship will be off and running on Sunday, with the coveted Wanamaker Trophy available.
World No. 1 Scotty Scheffler sits on the tournament’s 11-under leaderboard in three rounds at the Quazur Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He sits in second place at 8 under, with a three-stroke before Swedish golfer Alex Noren. Both tees will be off Sunday at 2:40pm ET.
Schaeffler is competing for his first PGA championship, competing for his third major title after the Masters won in 2022 and 2024. His best finish at the PGA Championship ended in 2023 when he placed second in champion Brooks Coepka.
Several well-known golfers, including Jon Rahm (-6), Si Woo Kim (-6), and Bryson Dechambeau (-5), are still competing. Follow us as USA Today Sports hits the highlights of Sunday’s final round.

It’s been quite a week for Eric Cole on the par-3 force hole.
After notching his first career ace on the PGA Tour in Thursday’s opening round, Cole didn’t get his tee shot quite close in Sunday’s final round.
no problem. He simply ran out of 62 footers for a birdie and reached the tournament par.
The moment Tommy Fleetwood played the shot from rock at 7am, Xander Schaufere entered the Eagle Game at 8am. His second shot was an approach right next to the green.
It’s a great show that may be too little, too late at Quail Hollow. However, his chip-in puts him a 1 under par in the tournament.
With a 6 iron and a bit of luck, Tommy Fleetwood played on the green at 7am.
Fleetwood fired a bank from the rock on the right that landed just above the green to become a very accidental eagle worthy of attention.

The final round leaderboard displays the familiar names at the top. Scotty Schaeffler sits at 11 under for the tournament ahead of Alex Noren. They tee off on Sunday at 2:40pm ET.
Scottie Scheffler was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2020, but he has been getting better ever since.
He became the number one player in the world in 2022 and won his first career major at the 2022 Masters. He followed suit by winning the Masters again in 2024.
Just like today, Schaeffler held a 54-hole lead in both times.
These are his only two major titles, but he came in second in the 2023 PGA Championship, second in the US Open in 2022 and seventh in the British Open in 2024.
Charlotte’s forecast on Sunday seeks a high of 86 “this morning’s cloudy skies” “partially cloudy this afternoon,” according to Weather Channel. The wind is 10-15 mph.
Experts picked before the tournament:
NBC Sports: Bryson Deccanbo
Ryan Ravner said, “Bryson Dedanbeau. There’s no one on the planet – not Rory, not Scotty, driving the ball, at this point, is hard to remember a more perfect venue for him. It’s a question mark – that’s the only reason he didn’t win Master last month – but his short game and putting remained tidy enough to keep him driving the ball like he’s been over the past year.
BetMgm: Bryson Dechambeau
“Decanbaugh, including a near miss at Augusta National, recorded four top 10s in his last five major championships. In his last nine major championships, Decanbaugh owns five top 10s and four top 5s. Such success came last year at Valhalla, the course that is most correlated to Quail Hollow, Datagolf.com.”
Gambling Geek: Scotty Scheffler
“Even though he never won the event, Schaeffler finished the top 10 in four of his five PGA Championship appearances. …Schaeffler will cement his position at the top of the world rankings with his victory at the Cool Hollow Club this year.”
Newsweek: Rory McIlroy
“Schaeffler could win the odds, but McIlroy’s track record at Quail Hollow cannot be overlooked. The Northern Irishman has won four of his 12 appearances in the Wells Fargo Championship (now the Trust Championship).
