Meijer is recalling one of its children’s pajama garments because it can cause burns to children.
The company is recalling MCS and Lullaby Lane brand pajamas with integrated feet in 12, 18 and 24 month sizes, according to a notice published Thursday, Feb. 19, on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
According to the regulator’s website, the sleepwear violates flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, which protect infants from death and severe burns if the sleepwear catches fire.
This standard was created to protect children from small sources of open flame such as matches, lighters, candles, fireplace embers, stoves, and space heaters, and means children’s pajama clothing must pass specific flammability tests.
Approximately 211,500 Meyer clothing items are subject to the recall. The company is asking customers to stop using the product and return it to a Meijer store for a refund.
The recalled clothing is available in 10 styles and a variety of colors and patterns. According to the recall notice, the brand, size and the words “Made in Thailand” are printed on the neck of the garment. The product was sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kentucky from December 2024 to October 2025 for approximately $5 to $12.
As of February 19, no injuries or incidents related to the product have been reported.
