New York – The expression “arm and leg costs” dates back at least a century ago, but in fact it relates to today’s ramp-inflation era… especially if you plan to attend, eat, drink, drink, or buy in the US over the next two weeks.

If your stomach and wallet can handle it, and if you don’t need to take out a second mortgage to travel to wash away the pasture, this year’s food and drink options at this year’s final Grand Slam will definitely turn some heads.

Let’s start with a drink. Start this drink with a smile (or frustrating) at the battle station every foot (or depending on the time). They are ready to charge your credit card and pour Honey Deuce, our popular open staple.

This mixture of grey goose vodka, lemonade and raspberry liqueur costs $23, topped with three honeydew melons that represent a tennis ball. But at least you get the collective glass that comes with the drink.

According to Grey Goose, the US Tennis Association sold 556,000 honey deuces at last year’s tournament (and has sold 2.8 million since 2011). For your math major, the organization pocketed nearly $12.8 million in its drinks alone in 2024. It’s enough to pay two single champions, bringing back $5 million each for tournament victory.

Or, if you really want to live in the Wildside, the latest drink on the menu is a $39 watermelon slice from IHG Hotels & Resorts, the tournament’s official hotel sponsor. With a neon green wine glass shaped like a tennis ball, you guessed – watermelon, concluded it. This drink features an interesting Moet & Chandon champagne, watermelon juice, elderflower liqueur and lime. Taste bud, curse.

But for some, the food and other amenities aren’t all they’re cracked.

Mark Ruggiello, a retired pediatrician from Gardnerville, Nevada, said he had honey deuce about 12 years ago and hasn’t had it since.

“I really liked it for about four hours. About three hours after the third, I didn’t like it that much,” he said.

Sitting near courtside with friends Phil and Diane Sheridan while snacking on donuts purchased at the donut factory at Grand Central Station, Ruguiero received some pointed advice from those who came to the open.

“Bring me a snack,” he said. “But there are some affordable foods,” he added.

US Open’s $100 Caviar Nuggets are stoking the buzz among tennis fans

Would you like to spend $100 on a caviar top nugget? Open fans in the US led it to the test.

Seriously sports

If the wine and spirit aren’t yours, you can (in theory) have an empty water container and enjoy a free H2O from the numerous water fountains around the complex, or spend $9 on a 750 mL Evian bottle and $8.50 on a fountain drink.

As for food, the US opening story is the famous golden nugget chicken with coqodaq caviar that can be found at the club level at Arthur Ash Stadium and at Food Village. If that’s your fix or intriguing, the six “Golden Nuggets” sacrifice cool Benjamin with just that dish, featuring Petrosian Caviar and Cream Fresh. Also prepare to fire Andrew Jackson for sides like macaroni and cheese and desserts, like $19 peaches and cream froyo.

“There’s something magical about the combination of caviar and chicken nuggets. It’s unexpected, playful and festive,” Simon Kim (Coqodaq, Cote Korean Steakhouse), CEO and founder of Greasias Hospitality Management, told USA Today Sports. “That’s exactly what the US opens – a celebration of sports, culture, and dul. Our goal has always been to get high when something simple, like the chicken nuggets that everyone loves, paired with world-class caviar.”

Coqodaq, a Korean fried chicken restaurant in Manhattan on 12 East 22nd Street, offers other US open exclusive menu items, including the crispy chicken sandwich from Gangnam Style, as well as exclusive surprises from Oomenu. The classic nuggets box with three signature sauces and pickled radish costs $26.

Kim said he sold about 100,000 chicken nuggets at Open last year, and expects to double that number in 2025.

You can’t even make a mistake with the Red Hook Lobster Pound Maine Lobster Roll. And for foodies who want to hunt down just for a big eater, Hill Country BBQ is more than meeting those needs with sliced brisket sandwiches ($26) or loaded BBQ nachos ($24).
