USA Today, issue has been resolved
According to the company’s leadership, SweetGreen, known for its customizable bowls and “Plant-Forward Menu,” will soon be available in four new US cities.
The high-speed casual chain, covered in Los Angeles, offers bowls that customers can adjust to their appetite, including choices from caramelized garlic steaks, wild rice and other combinations.
SweetGreen has already opened eight new restaurants this year, including one in Santa Clara on June 10th. He added that the location will open in Huntersville, North Carolina on June 12th.
Here’s what SweetGreen fans need to know about future locations in the four new markets:
Which new markets have sweet greens?
SweetGreen has opened locations in new markets such as Sacramento, Phoenix, Cincinnati and Northwest Arkansas.
Sweetgreen’s Northwest Arkansas location is located in Fayetteville and Bentonville, on Walmart’s home office campus, and will be attending restaurants such as Ozark Mountain Bagels, Wright’s BBQ and multiple coffee shops.
Where is the latest location for SweetGreen?
So far, in 2025, SweetGreen has opened:
- Pennsylvania: 1359 Frankford Avenue News Suite 2, Philadelphia
- New Jersey: 221 East Broad Street, Westfield
- Connecticut: 110 Albany Turnpike, Suite 911, Canton
- Virginia: 3502 West Carry Street, Richmond and 4225 Fairfax Corner Avenue, East, Fairfax
- Wisconsin: 418 N Midvale Blvd. Madison
- Michigan: 260 North Adams Road, Rochester Hills
By the end of the year, SweetGreen will open at least 40 new locations, Tarrant said.
What is SweetGreen’s Endless Kitchen?
Among the new locations, two are SweetLane or Drive-Sthru locations, according to Tarrant. One of the new drive-thru locations is like the old restaurant, with the second drive-thru location being equipped with the company’s endless kitchen or automated technology, Tarrant said.
Tarrant added that about half of the locations that opened in 2025 will feature the company’s endless kitchen technology.
SweetGreen opened the pilot Infinite Kitchen Store in Naperville, Illinois in May 2023, promising faster and more accurate service with accurate potions.
Automated technology can perform tasks such as dispensing greens, mixing dressing bowls, plates, and salads. The automated system allows team members to focus on food preparation and other tasks, the company wrote in a May 2023 news release.
“Members of the team will add a final touch to the finishing station, sprinkled with scoops of herbs and avocado,” the company said.
What’s going on with SweetGreen in 2026?
Tarrant said the company is expected to continue growing in 2026.
“We look forward to serving more communities as we expand our footprint with 15%-20% unit growth and offer a variety of formats to meet guests where they are,” he added.
