Brad Pitt has left the role of “Shaushank’s Redeemer”
Brad Pitt was mostly cast as Tommy Williams in “Shawshank Red.” According to the director and writer, he has stepped out of the film.

In one of the most famous films of all time, another red arc is on the horizon.
The modest box office grossing “The Shawshank Redemption” was a huge success in 1994, winning the top spot in the film rankings from IMDB to Rolling Stone. Now it’s climbing the streaming chart.
Returning to Peacock for the pleasure of home viewing for audiences, the film has plunged into the platform’s top 10 most viewed titles this week, following the Odyssey of One Inmate through a cruel system.
Based on Stephen King Novel, “Shaushank” tells the story of Andy Dufrenne (Tim Robbins), who was found guilty of killing his wife and her lover, and was sentenced to life in prison despite his innocence plea. While in prison, Dufresne becomes friends with fellow inmate Ellis “Red” Redding (Morgan Freeman).
The 19-year-old film, which won seven years of Academy Award nominations and was a critical beloved person, did not win the popular charm upon release. Now beloved film audiences seem to want to immerse themselves in the drama with a renewed interest in Dufresne’s grand and complicated story.
It’s also a career-determining performance from Freeman, so fans may want to absorb the legendary talent of acting before signing up for the big screen.
In an interview with USA Today earlier this year, Freeman hinted at the possibility of an imminent retirement, saying, “I imagine… I might be at the point where I say, ‘OK, Y’all, I’ve stopped.’ ”
