“There’s definitely been a spiritual journey over the last few years, but it’s – I don’t know. I just seized the moment and said (expletive),” Shiffrin said.
Realizing her mistake, Shiffrin immediately widened her eyes in horror, but before she knew it, an even worse curse escaped.
“(Expletive),” the skier said before covering his mouth, embarrassed by both failures.
Today Show staffers offered Shiffrin words of comfort as the Olympic skier took a deep breath and did her best to laugh out of the moment.
“It’s okay! It’s okay! It’s okay!” Melvin said.
Shiffrin bowed her head and smiled before admitting that things didn’t go as planned.
“It turned out really bad,” she said with a laugh.
