Publix will open six new stores by the end of September
Publix, a supermarket chain based in Lakeland, Florida, is opening six new locations in five US states as part of its expansion plan.

The bargain outlet of discount store chain Ollie is set to open nine stores in seven states by the end of October.
Earlier this year, Ollie filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September 2024, thus acquiring 40 big lot locations through auctions. Between January and May, Ollie opened 25 new stores nationwide. Of these stores, 18 were former Biglot locations.
“These stores are off to a very strong start,” Ollie CEO Eric van der Bark said of the new stores during a revenue call in June.
As the year progresses, Ollie’s continues to host two openings on October 1st and several other openings throughout the summer.
