Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey’s baby: Couple welcomes first child

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are digging heels in their parenting trench.

The 33-year-old model actress and the 29-year-old NFL running back revealed the birth of their first child in an Instagram post on July 13th. The social media announcement also includes the baby’s name “Collette Analyze McCaffrey” which features some candid photos of the couple with their newborn daughter.

USA Today contacted representatives of Culpo and McCaffrey for comments.

Baby Colette’s photos include adorable close-up shots of the toddler’s arms, as well as several images of Culpo and McCaffrey spending time with their firstborn in the delivery room. In one photo, McCaffrey, adorned with hospital attire, can be seen leaning against Calpo’s head, holding Colette in a tight pose.

Calpo also praised her coparent, McCaffrey, in a series of additional photos from the Instagram story. One photo shows a San Francisco 49ers player supporting Calpo’s head during delivery. “The most frightening and most rewarding of all experiences.

Calpo and McCaffrey’s parenting milestone comes a year after the couple got married during a gorgeous June 2024 ceremony in Rhode Island. Calpo was stunned by Dolce and Gabbana’s imposing ball gowns featuring the crew’s neck, long sleeves and buttoned back. The Miss Universe alum concluded the couple’s ensemble with a 16-foot race veil.

“I didn’t want it to ooze sex in any way, or shape,” Calpo told her wedding dress Vogue. “I wanted it to feel easy and as if it was complementary to me.

In March, Calpo signaled the next stage in her love story, announcing her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post. “Next chapter, motherhood 🤍,” she wrote at the time.

A week after her pregnancy announcement, Kalpo revealed in a video on Tiktok on March 18 that she struggled with health early in her pregnancy.

In the approximately 2.5 minute clip, taken nine weeks after pregnancy, Calpo shared that she had a four-week break following a case of pneumonia and a type of vaginal bleeding, a type of vaginal bleeding.

“I was bleeding everywhere,” Calpo said. “(Doctor) said you can’t go anywhere, you can’t travel. Really, stay in bed.”

Culpo said her pregnancy was not at risk by medical trials, and adding recovery was aided by the use of progesterone drugs. “What you’re thinking isn’t necessarily the worst,” she told fans. “I hope this can help everyone else going through this, feel alone.”

In an interview with People Magazine in May, Culpo revealed her excitement about motherhood. The “Clawfoot” star said he’s looking forward to a 8-12-week toddler.

It was “in my opinion, the best bonding time,” continued Calpo, but she acknowledged the “difficult” parenting stage. “This is my first time, so I’ll see if I’ll change my mind about it.”
