How to find the best prices, perks when booking a cruise
Use these tips to find a cruise that works for your budget.
The problem has been resolved
- Norwegian cruise line cancelled its cruise over four months on Norwegian Prima and Norwegian breakaways due to the 2026 “relocation of the fleet.”
- The two ships exchanged itineraries along with the Southern Caribbean Cruise on Prima Sailing Breakaway and the Western Caribbean Cruise on Prima Sailing Breakaway Sailing Prima.
- Passengers booked on a cancelled cruise will receive a full refund and a 10% future cruise credit.
Norwegian cruise line cancelled more than four months of cruises on two ships.
Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Breakaway will be swapping locations with the 2026 “Fleet Relocation.” Prima sails a planned Southern Caribbean cruise from Puerto Rico, and Breakaway offers a previously scheduled Western Caribbean itinerary from New Orleans.
The following dates were affected:
- Norway’s Prima: Cruises until November 15th, 2026, until March 28th, 2027
- Norway Breakaway: Cruises until November 8th, 2026, until March 28th, 2027
The original itinerary will continue to be available on new ships and reservations will begin on August 8th. “As a passionate cruiser, this is not part of your plan and I really apologize for the confusion and disappointment this caused,” Norway said on July 7th. “We want to ensure that we are here to make this process as smooth as possible.”
Guests booked during previous sailing will receive a full refund of paid fares and a 10% future cruise credit.
Cruise cancellations are relatively rare, but occur for other reasons, such as when a full-ship charter or when a ship needs to enter a dry dock.
