Nissan offers acquisition of US workers and suspended pay rise: internal email
Japan’s Nissan has begun offering acquisitions to US workers and has suspended the rise in merit-based wages around the world, as automakers expand their cost cuts amid declining performance in key markets. Fiona Jones reports.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Nissan is reminiscent of thousands of new vehicles due to issues with the centre console display on the model.
Nissan North America, Inc., NHTSA said. filed a recall for certain 2025 frontiers and kick vehicles on May 15th. According to the recall notification, the vehicle does not comply with federal vehicle safety standards, as the center information display unit may display a blank screen when shifted in reverse.

Which Nissan models will be affected by the recall?
Two Nissan models affected by the recall that NHTSA says will affect 79,755 vehicles include:
- Nissan Frontier 2025
- Nissan Kick 2025
What should the owners of the affected Nissan models do?
According to the NHTSA, Nissan owners affected by the recall should contact the dealer.
The owner’s notification letter is expected to be mailed on July 1, the agency said.
The manufacturer numbers for this recall are PD152 and PMA48.
