New shoes don’t usually come out of the box, but Nike is changing that with future sneaker releases.
The Beaverton, Oregon shoe company first saw the Dotswoosh x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Dirty Triple White” on April 30th.
“The more you wear it, the cleaner and clearer it becomes. It’s very simple,” wrote Dotzushu, known as “Nike House for Games,” in an Instagram post.
Based on reports from Instagram posts and complicated sneaker news, pre-ducked shoes become the more beautiful a person wears them. Nike speaks intricately on this alone, with the pair having a scratch-away panel that ultimately wears out a clean version of the sneaker as a “how to turn a typical lifecycle over.”
“Smoked White AF1. See everywhere. Stain, folded, worn out. The pair is a living canvas for those wearing them. The white AF1 is a time portal. We love it about them.” “But what if we told that story backwards?”
According to Nike, the sneakers feature footprint illustrations engraved on digitally printed sockliner, “celebrating the grooves you put in your shoes.” Aside from the Classic Air Force 1 lace, what’s included in the shoebox is a UV lace that you wear with a light exposure, “creating a unique vintage look,” the company said.
When will the dirty Nike Air Force 1 be released?
Dotswoosh will be released on May 7th via Nike’s SNKRS app, while Dotswoosh will be announced in an X post. According to Dotswoosh, the shoes are $130, and can range in sizes from 3.5 to 14 for men.
“I think you know AF1. But you (you’re just hurting the surface,” reads Dotswoosh’s X post.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Dirty Triple White” features a “scratch away texture” that reveals an increasingly beautiful AF1. The sneakers will be released along with “Triple Triple Black” Air Force 1 Low.
All-black Air Force 1 also has a scratch-away texture, but instead, a deeper, richer black tint is revealed by wear. Both pairs of sneakers come with a toothbrush.
“Yeah, we saw the meme. We know what you say about us, so we’re changing the conversation. The more you shatter, the more you get,” Dotzzuusch said of All Black Air Force 1.
Social Media Responds to Dirty Nike Air Force 1
Complex actually got sneakers early, explaining in an Instagram post that the shoes “appear to be stomped and worn for months.”
“Nike is obsessed with this,” reads the social media post. “The sneakers look filthy brand new, out of the box.”
Others rang online to discuss sneakers they had dug up beforehand.
