NFL Overreaction Week 2: Philadelphia wins, Browning steps up for the Bengals

The Miami Dolphins will travel to face AFC East Rival Buffalo Bill at Primetime to kick off the third week of the NFL season in “Thursday Night Football.”
These franchises are heading in the opposite direction as the bill is ready to become a Super Bowl candidate.
The shark is beginning to circle the dolphin. Miami’s defensive issue is under the microscope, modestly and modestly against tonight’s MVP Joshu Allen, after allowing 33 points in consecutive weeks to open the season.
The Bills quarterback has totaled 45 touchdowns against Miami in 15 meetings.
Buffalo was stamped 2-0 from the gate after defeating the low Jets last Sunday and completing an incredible comeback to beat the Baltimore Ravens in week one.

“Thursday Night Football” tends to produce quirky results, and that’s exactly what Miami wants. Dolphins have not won Buffalo since 2016 and hope that the short week will benefit them, but Buffalo hopes to contribute to Miami’s end mise in early 2025.

You thought Buffalo had another touchdown, right? Yes, we are amazed too. Following the first negative play of the game, Plater misses a 39-yard field goal on the left. Very wide left. Like, it never held up the opportunity.
The real Miami Dolphins have joined the program. It had three more for McDaniel’s crew, which had even fewer action than the last crew. The bill will take over at 27, looking for a 73-yard touchdown drive and adding it to the previous two.
With the exception of one imperfection, the bill earned at least one yard on every play. It certainly isn’t a recipe for successful Miami, and Buffalo makes it look easy. Rookie Jackson Haws took part in the action and scored his first career touchdown to close out his 63-yard drive.
Bill 14, Dolphins 7
As many have predicted, the game didn’t finish after the first quarter, but after the first 15 minutes the bill still doesn’t give you a reason to sweat. They’re driving for the lead, and Miami’s defense has yet to force negative plays. If McDaniel’s team can’t turn it around quickly, it’ll be hard to steal a victory.

Miami looked like another team on the second drive and couldn’t go any further. They pick up just 7 yards from Tagovailoa, including two on the ground. Many fans may have held their breath with a pigeon forward to pick up a few yards. After the punt, the bill will be handed over at his own 36.
As expected, the dolphin defense on the Bills’ opening drive looked like a traffic cone. Buffalo takes just seven plays to drive 70 yards on the score as Kincaid brings things together with a 20-yard touchdown.

Dolphins may have scored on the opening drive, but they appeared to benefit from a missed call on the third down. Tua Tagovailoa found Tyreek Hill for a first down reception, but the receiver aged the ball. After checking out the replay, it appears that Hill was only 1 foot in range. The bill was uncontested and ultimately costly.
Well, how about that? No one gives the Dolphins a chance in this game, and the Dolphins score on a six-minute drive that advances 47 yards before Gordon enters the end zone. Buffalo’s defense looked like what we expected from Miami on that opening drive. It’s not too tattered for Mike McDaniel and the company early on.

Bill vs Dolphin Prediction
This is a prime example of two franchises heading in opposite directions. Buffalo looks like a crop cream, a legitimate Super Bowl candidate, and Miami looks like a runaway train. Dolphins’ offensive lines may be bad, but their defenses are corrupt. The unit will allow 33 points in consecutive weeks, and Buffalo may double that.
The bill has run several impressive winning streaks: five straight AFC East titles, not losing to a 24-game sales battle, they won the final eight home matchups against Miami. Those stripes continue tonight.
Buffalo will erase Miami.

Josh Allen has tweaked his helmet to give his face a bit of extra protection after two weeks of injury.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback added a visor to his helmet before the team’s practice session on Tuesday. The change comes after Allen was injured in his nose in a second week clash with the New York Jets, and the left hand of defensive tackle Michael Clemons rocked him in his face as Allen took the bag.
The injury left Allen missing out on about half of the first quarter. It’s just two plays. He returned to the game to start the second quarter, with cotton gauze pushing up his left nostril. – Jack McKessey
