Towards the official schedule release, the NFL has been raising interest on this opportunity by strategically leaking out several games that will take place during next season.
Several key games were announced on Monday, including the season opening game, Black Friday games, Saturday doubleheaders and Christmas Day showcase. On Tuesday, the international Game Slate was announced.
Wednesday reveals the rest of the 272 regular season games.
With the official release set for Wednesday at 8pm, there is still plenty of time to release these final leaks before the faucets are turned off.
It won’t take long for the calendar to fill up.

Will the Christmas Day schedule be taken into consideration?
Local media have reported the Washington commander, and the Minnesota Vikings are expected to host an Interdivision game on Christmas Day. Kevin Sheehan, at 980 AM in Washington, said the commander facing the Dallas Cowboys, what he said was probably the first game of the day. Week 2 Super Bowl rematch

The Giants are facing a brutal opening stretch
Art Stapleton of Northjersey.com has a line in the first four games of the New York Giants season. He reports that they will face a “slash of murderers” of opposition. Home opener against the Washington Commander in Week 1, Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3, and home clashes with the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4.
Cowboys, chief meet on Thanksgiving day

On CBS morning, NFL’s today’s Bill Cowher and Nate Burleson revealed their network’s Thanksgiving Day matchup. Marquee matchups fill in the middle slot of the NFL three-game turkey day schedule with kickoff set at 4:30pm ET.
NFL International Games announced
The league announced seven international games in five countries in 2025. The game will be played in Europe in Dublin, Ireland. London, UK; Berlin, Germany. Madrid, Spain.
The Chargers will begin their 2025 international competition at the Corinth Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The opponents for this game will be announced on May 14th.
Eagles, Packers set up for “MNF” collision
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles and Packers will face off in a 10-week “Monday Night Football” clash. Super Bowl Champion vs. Super Bowl hopefuls last met in the 2024 NFL wildcard round.
Dolphins play commander in Madrid
Miami is one of seven NFL teams that announced in 2025 to play international games. This will be the first NFL game in the Spanish capital. The Palm Beach Post reports that opponent will be Washington Commander, the defending NFC runner-up.
Peacock hosting “Holiday Exclusive” in week 17
According to NBC, Peacock – NBC’s own streaming service – will air its fourth exclusive streaming game in week 17.
The Eagles will host the Cowboys in the opening game of the 2025 season
The opening game for the NFL season is set for 2025. The reigning champion Champion Eagles will host their division rival Cowboys on Thursday, September 4th, to launch their 2025 campaign. NBC announced matchups at the “Today” show, but will air the game as part of the “Sunday Night Football” package despite the game being played on Thursday.
The 20th Mark since 2004 was selected to host the NFL season opening game. They hold a 15-5 total record in these matchups.
Chargers and Chiefs to play Week 1 in Brazil
The NFL officially announced on Friday, September 5th that the Chargers will play in the league’s second Sao Paolo game in 2025. Fisher has reported that his opponent will be the chief, and YouTube is currently expected to broadcast the game.

Fisher called the Chiefs the NFL “Top Viewership Draw.” This will increase the likelihood that more fans will be participating in the contest. YouTube, which currently distributes the domestic version of NFL Sunday Tickets, streams the game for free on the platform.
