Can’t wait to see it in the 2025 season
The NFL schedule for the 2025-2026 season has been released. Below are some of the games on our must-see list:
Annual announcements for the NFL schedule are probably the most manufactured of all “events” on the sports calendar. But that’s not to say it’s beneficial, provocative, and sometimes not controversial…even if it had transformed into something that would take most of three days to reveal the big picture that slowly creeps into.
However, the fact that schedule releases have actually become a landmark for the NFL offseason is a testament to the league’s incredible marketing and business insights and the leagues that are embracing and running and growing, as the leagues that Mike North, the league’s vice president of broadcasting, embrace and his team year by year.
What does that mean? Winners and losers, pretty naturally – and their wide range:
winner
NFC East
It’s back in a big way, baby. Dallas Cowboys of the Philadelphia Eagles – Longtime rivals roared during the season in the kickoff opener on Thursday night, September 4th, with Washington’s manager scheduled six primetime appearances, the second-most tied league-wide after Kansas City chief.
Buffalo Bills
Teams that made the playoffs in 2024 are not easy to schedule based on their opponents’ group win rate (.467) since last season. The perennial AFC East Champion will also enjoy three primetime home games during its final season at Highmark Stadium.
Colts’ Indiana Night uniform
It’s been two years since Indianapolis unveiled an alternative uniform. This uniform features a black helmet and a “Heathered” design. Unfortunately, the Colts have been relegated to wearing the “Indiana Night” kit at the 1pm kickoff as they weren’t involved enough to play in Primetime. But don’t be afraid, the Colts will host the San Francisco 49ers in week 16 “Monday Night Football.” I drink at the roof of Lucas Oil Stadium on an Indiana night.
Streaming Services
They continue to infiltrate what was purely the realm of network broadcasting. This year, Prime Video, YouTube, ESPN+, and Netflix all become mixed in shape, shape or shape in some way as they continue to expand their content delivery models.
Aaron Rogers?
He’ll be the QB1 for the Pittsburgh Steelers – Is that so? – After North stacked up the New York Jets with him, Marquee’s game won’t be strangely added to Marquee’s game, with Mulligan 2024 schedule that didn’t work for anyone. Not to mention being the home team designated for the league’s Irish debut, the four primetime games feel like a rather standard Steelers schedule, regardless of quarterback.
Cincinnati Bengals Travel Schedule
Centrally located Stripe is the only team in the league to travel under 10,000 miles in 2025. Will they definitely reinvest their savings and reward De Trey Hendrickson with more contracts than he has won?
NFL Social Media Team (almost)
The release of the schedule is equivalent to the Super Bowl for the social division of the league as it brews a mix of creativity, shade and expectations while rolling out the fall lineup for each team. Jordan Mendoza of USA Today Sports ranked the efforts this year, and the Los Angeles Chargers once again distinguished themselves. The Colts…regardless of the version, there were very few franchises embarrassing in the Super Bowl.

Family of players in Dallas, Detroit and Kansas City
For the third year in a row, the Chiefs will play at Christmas, but will be at Arrowhead at least this season. But the twist in 2025 is that the real-life AFC champions will also play on Thanksgiving in Dallas. Speaking of cowboys (and lions), turkey day perennial home fixtures, both draw Christmas assignments in 2025. Do it on Labor Day, Y’all!
Charger Travel Schedule
Bolt is scheduled to record 37,000 miles of League High from Point A-LA to Point and Point, including a trip to Brazil in the first week.
10pm ET kickoff
The league was away from the late-night games that were often used to unfold in the first week of “MNF” doubleheaders. That second matchup often introduces Mississippi’s Eastern football stubborn while trying to post for work Tuesday morning. This year, ESPN’s Monday Night lineup will merely close out the opening weekend with the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings. However, in the second and seventh week, there will be twin bills without overlapping games, Las Vegas and Seattle, and will win the out-of-hour spotlight at the 10pm start time. Keep Red Bull on hand to keep the coaster on the right.
Football fans with Chiefs fatigue
Are you tired of seeing Patrick Mahomes and the company, who have reached five of the last six Super Bowls and have had people pinning it on the “Patriot Way”? Welcome. Kansas City not only has seven primetime appearances leading the league, a factor in Thanksgiving, but also has eight exclusive broadcast windows.
New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans
Respect has been earned in the NFL and these teams… combined for Zero Limited Broadcast Slots in 2025.
College Football Playoffs
We plan to enter our second year in the expanded 12 team format. From a TV rating standpoint, what went wrong was claiming when college games went into pre-Bowl season hiatus several years ago while trying to break into in on Saturday’s time slots late in the season. Moving forward, the pros seem willing to acknowledge the viewer’s eyes, slotting out a rival game in the attractive division on the 16th Saturday (December 20th). Good luck with that, Pennsylvania. NCAA decision makers… The NFL has already made the NBA irrelevant from a Christmas showcase once owned by the association.
NBA
If it’s not official yet, they obviously lost their Christmas showcase. The NFL was loaded with this year’s Yuletide triple header and Mahomes, Jayden Daniels and Dallas. Lebron and Co. doesn’t even have a chance anymore.
Germany
Deleting decades from World War II, they have been regarded as American ally for the past 80 years. But are we continuing to send them Daniel Jones as NFL ambassador? Perhaps Volkswagen is still punished for its emissions scandal…
