Dirty Soda shop explodes in popularity thanks to viral effect
Viral TikTok and reality show sparks an explosion of dirty soda shops across the U.S.
Mountain Dew has officially joined the dirty soda trend.
The newest Mountain Dew beverage, Dirty Mountain Dew, is now in stores along with Dirty Mountain Dew Zero Sugar. Both are available in single 20-ounce bottles and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans.
Dirty soda drinks, made by adding small amounts of coffee creamer or flavored syrup to carbonated soda, have become a popular alternative beverage, especially among Gen Z consumers.
Dirty Mountain Dew mashes up the soft drink’s “iconic citrus flavor with a smooth, creamy flavor finish,” the brand said in a news release.
“Mountain Dew has always led the way in what’s next in flavor, and Dirty Soda is exactly that moment,” Michael Smith, vice president of marketing for PepsiCo Beverages Inc., said in a statement. “Dirty Mountain Dew is a bold and refreshing take on our iconic citrus flavor in a whole new way. The bold, creamy, ready-to-drink experience is exactly what Dew fans have been waiting for.”
