Car Recall: Why They Will and What Should You Know
Why does a car recall occur? Here’s what you need to know if your car has an open recall:
More than 160,000 Jeep vehicles have been recalled, according to a notification posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Agency.
According to the notification, the recall includes certain models of Jeep Wagonia and Jeep Grand Wagonia vehicles. Recalls for all affected cars revolve around the trim of the car driver and passenger doors.
NHTSA says they can be peeled off because they may not be properly attached.
“The isolated trim piece can pose road hazards to other vehicles and increase the risk of crashes,” the NHTSA said.
Dealers will inspect and replace broken door trims for free, which are expected to be notified by October 31, 2025. The NHTSA database allows you to search for recalls based on vehicle identification number or VIN.
