According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Ben’s Original has voluntarily recalled some of its rice because the product may contain stones.

The FDA reported that the naturally occurring small stones originated from a rice farm, adding that the affected products were distributed by Associated Grocers, C&S, and Dot Foods between August and September.

The agency did not specify which farm.

“Small stones, if ingested, may cause damage to the oral cavity or gastrointestinal tract,” the FDA said in a Tuesday, Oct. 14 notice.

So far, there have been no reported illnesses or injuries related to the recall announced by Ben’s Original on Friday, October 10th.
