Minute Maid has developed a series of products that helped get the company started 80 years ago.

Coca-Cola, which owns Minute Maid, confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY that it will stop selling frozen products such as orange juice and lemonade.

“In response to changing consumer tastes, we will discontinue sales of frozen products and withdraw from the frozen can category,” the company said in a statement. “As the juice category continues to grow strongly, we are focused on products that better match consumer demand.”

These products will be discontinued in the first quarter of 2026. Coca-Cola says it will be available in stores while supplies last.

According to Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, then known as Vacuum Foods Corporation, shipped its first frozen concentrated orange juice in 1946. This product has long been a favorite of some shoppers because of its long shelf life and lower price compared to fresh orange juice.

Which frozen Minute Maid products will be discontinued?

The Coca-Cola Company has announced that it will discontinue all frozen Minute Maid products. According to the company’s website, the following products are sold as frozen concentrated fruit juices.

  • original orange juice
  • orange juice without pulp
  • rustic orange juice
  • lemonade
  • limeade
  • pink lemonade
  • raspberry lemonade

Minute Maid has been selling frozen juices for 80 years.

According to Coca-Cola, Minute Maid started with frozen juice.

(In 1945, the company, then known as Florida Foods Corporation, won a contract to sell powdered orange juice to the U.S. military. However, when that deal fell through, the following year it pivoted to producing frozen concentrated orange juice instead.

This frozen juice product was named “Minute Maid” for its convenience. Eventually, the company changed its name to Minute Maid Corporation. The company was acquired by the Coca-Cola Company in 1960, and in 1973 the brand introduced ready-to-drink orange juice sold in paper cartons.
