Miley Cyrus fights back with a Hannah Montana song. Does she tour?

Date:

Hannah Montana is ready to roll out in her limousine and have the whole world say “ooh!”

The March 17 trailer for Disney+’s Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special shows Miley Cyrus incarnating her blonde alter ego for the first time in decades, performing two songs that took fans back to the early 2000s.

Of course, this included “Best of Both Worlds,” the theme song for the Disney Channel sitcom that aired from 2006 to 2011. She also performed the powerful ballad “The Climb,” which was featured in the 2009 feature film “Hannah Montana: The Movie.”

The trailer also included old footage of the “Flowers” singer as a character in the series, several magazine covers in which she appeared, a convertible with the license plate “HM 20,” and the studio grounds of the house where her character lived.

“We have a lot of common memories. We actually grew up together,” Cyrus Cyrus tells the audience in the trailer. “I loved being Hannah then, and now I live for it.”

Miley Cyrus told her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, “I love you” both in real life and on TV, to which he responded, “The best of both worlds.” The trailer also features an interview between the Grammy Award winner and “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper.

Will Miley Cyrus tour as Hannah Montana?

Cyrus and Disney have not announced any plans for a Hannah Montana tour.

The “Party in the USA” singer previously explained why she hasn’t toured since her 2014 “Bangers” world tour.

In a May 2023 interview with British Vogue magazine, she said that while she enjoys performing for friends, “singing in front of hundreds of thousands of people is not something I really like.”

“There’s no connection. There’s no safety,” Cyrus told the show. “It’s not natural either. When you’re in front of 100,000 people, you’re all alone, so it’s very isolating.”
