Mika Parsons leads the list of winners and losers

  • Green Bay improved to 2-0 with another impressive victory in the 2024 playoff team.
  • QB Jordan Love and De Micah Parsons, the leaders of Pack, both gave strong performances on Thursday night.
  • Washington fell 1-1, and the struggling crime may have lost a major member of serious injuries.

On Thursday, he played the Prime NFL matchup at first glance. Literally, the Washington commanders and the Green Bay Packers kicked off Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football” lineup at Lambeau Field, leading them into the second week of the league’s 2025 season.

And while the 2024 wildcard team matchup wasn’t as clear as the cord cutters wanted, the star power, highlights and low lights weren’t short either. After appearing in a 27-18 victory, the pack improved to 2-0, but the game wasn’t as close as the score suggests.

Still, there were plenty of convincing subplots and vignettes. This provided enough feed for the “TNF” winners and losers. They are:

winner

Jordan’s Love and the Packers’ Attack

Although they haven’t fired on all cylinders yet, the third year QB1 and Co. look like machines that can produce championship cheese over the next five months. A week after winning the NFC North Champion Detroit Lions 27-13, Green Bay averaged 6.4 yards on Thursday night, passing with 292 yards and two TDs, and only needed 19 completions to do so. However, there are some penalty issues that require you to iron.

Josh Jacobs

He expanded the Packers’ record for 11 straight times with touchdowns, including the playoffs. Jacobs can break the league records held by Hall of Fame John Riggins. Coincidentally, he set up with Washington for the 1982 and ’83 seasons whether he could expand the heater in five more games. Jacobs rushed for 84 yards against Washington.

Mika Parsons

Two games, two wins, 1½ bags, seemingly big roles on Thursday – when he had Eight Pressure – and now what’s going back to Dallas in his hyper-hip, mini-by to rest his back before a road game in Cleveland?

Sterling Sharp

The recent Pro Football Hall of Fame, who spent all seven Sterling NFL seasons with the Packers, saw his name be added to the façade of Lambeau Field on Thursday night. Had Sharp not been injured in the neck, he would have shot in at 1,000 career receptions – perhaps even 1,200 would have put him in the top five of the league.

upright

Packers K Brandon McManus was rejected by a left upright in a 48-yard field goal attempt just before halftime. Commander Matt Gay stands upright from 52 yards to start the second half, not good – not good. Everything said, all choked up two while kickers combined to miss the three FGS.

loser

Jaden Daniels and the Commander’s Crime

There’s no reason to panic on a 1-1 record. However, his offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024 and his fees looked a bit disjointed in two weeks, managing just 230 yards against Green Bay. Worse, veteran RB Austin Ekeller appeared to be suffering from a serious Achilles injury in the fourth quarter. Jacory “Bill” Croskey-Merritt is a promising newcomer, but it seems there is little challenge to be a 3-down main player at this stage. Daniels, Ekeller and Crosskey Merritt each ran for 17 yards.

Jerry Jones

Parsons was serenaded with “Thanks, Jerry” Chants, so it’s starting to stop the blockbuster trade that seems to have been born out of the stubbornness of both sides – said the person who was still fueled by many motivations despite landing a four-year, $186 million contract from Green Bay on the set of the “TNF” postgames: “I’m mad.” Packers-Cowboys, 4th week.

Terry McCrowl

After temporarily holding training camp and holding much of the summer while waiting for a three-year contract extension, the longtime Washington captain has yet to make any money through the two games. To be fair, McClaurin is back from his ankle, but he is back to the training field as soon as he gets paid. After catching two passes for 27 yards in week one, he had just five insignificant receptions for 48 yards on Thursday.

Matthew Golden

Golden is another receiver that should have won a bounty period, but has yet to affect it. In his first Packers Wide Out Draft in 23 years, the rookie was only targeted twice on Thursday, with neither of them getting involved. He caught two balls for 16 yards in the opener.

Josh Connery Jr.

Washington’s first rounder in 2025 is also struggling. In Conerly’s defense, he is 21 years old and has made the transition from Oregon’s left tackle to the right side of the NFL. He was abused by Parsons on Thursday after being consistently beaten by the New York Giants in week one. There’s no real shame about that, but Connelly’s trouble is another aspect of the commander’s sputtering crime.

Uniform variation

After debuting their almost white “winter warning” uniforms last season, the pack broke them on Thursday night… September 11th… 11th day ago… first day of fall. I’m all looking for a uniform variety – as boring as the pack bridezilla – but can we at least be wise about use? This is plagued by the territory where the Indianapolis Colts wear “Indiana Nights” on Sunday at 1pm (no joke).
