Mega Millions jackpot reached $547 million in the draw on October 7th

The Mega Millions jackpot rose to an estimated $574 million in the draw on Tuesday, October 7, as no one matched all winning numbers in the draw on Friday, October 3rd.

If someone matches all six numbers, they will be given the option to pay $251.7 million in one-time cash.

This year, there are four Mega Millions winners. The most recent winner is from Virginia and won a $348 million jackpot on June 27th. Before that, on April 18, an Ohio player won a $112 million jackpot. On March 25, the lucky Illinois ticket holder took home $344 million, and on January 17th, another Arizona winner won $113 million.

Once you have your ticket, you will need to select six numbers. Five of them are white balls numbered 1-70. Golden Mega Balls range from 1 to 24.

You can request a “quick pick” or “easy pick” if you feel particularly unlucky or don’t want to go through the hassle of picking. These options allow the computer to generate numbers randomly.

Mega Millions tickets incorporate a multiplier that increases non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times. Previously, players had to pay extra dollars to add “Mega Pliers.”

Tickets can be purchased directly at gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
