Monopoly is back at McDonald’s: How to play
Monopoly fans can start peeling pieces of the classic game from McDonald’s for a chance to win fun prizes.
The Monopoly game at McDonald’s is almost over.
The fast food giant brought back the Monopoly game on October 6th after not offering it for 10 years. McDonald’s has also made the McDonald’s app an integral part of the game, adding “digital game pieces” in addition to the classic game pieces offered in restaurants.
However, this limited-time promotion ends on Sunday, November 2nd (until game pieces run out). You still have time to play by getting physical game pieces when you order certain foods or digital game pieces in the McDonald’s app.
Here’s what you need to know to participate in the McDonald’s Monopoly game before it ends.
How to play McDonald’s Monopoly game
To play the McDonald’s Monopoly game, you must download and register the McDonald’s app. Prizes include a free meal, 1 million American Airlines AAdvantage miles, a trip for four to Universal Orlando Resort, a new 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and $1 million in cash. Here’s how to play:
- Please order. Once you register, you will receive a physical or digital “game piece” when you order selected menu items. (To play McDonald’s Monopoly without purchasing, visit amoe.playatmcd.com and request game pieces.)
- “Peel” the game pieces to see if you’re a winner. For example, peel off a physical game piece from a package of French fries and scan the QR code with the McDonald’s app. If you get a digital game piece in the McDonald’s app, you can “peel” it directly within the app.
