USA Today Taste Tests McDonald’s Snack Laps
USA Today reporters and producers should return to the menu for the first time since 2016 and try out McDonald’s snack wraps.
New themed meals are bringing back customers. Returning to “McDonald’s Land.”
McDonald’s Land, a food tribute to the whimsical and fictional world of fast food chains, made its meal debuted at participating restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, August 12th.
According to a news release on August 5th, McDonaldland debuted in 1971 and is a world of promotional fantasy that has been featured in commercials and other media.
In the imaginary world of McDonaldland, burgers grow in patches, and apple pie grows on trees, and says that it’s the perfect place for Ronald McDonald and his friends to grab a quick bite.
“Now the gangs are back together and fans can rediscover the epic world and its characters, or experience it for the first time.

“McDonald’s Land” meals and products
Customers can choose from two versions of the “McDonaldland” meal, including a side of french fries, a McDonaldland mountain shake, and a quarter-pound choice with cheese or 10-piece chicken McNuggets.
Mount McDonaldland was inspired by the “vibrant blue lava” and pink clouds of Mount McDonaldland, a volcano in McDonaldland, the release said.
According to McDonald’s, every “McDonald’s Land” meal comes with one of six exclusive collectable cans with postcards, stickers and more. Each one is inspired by a different character.
McDonald’s has also announced the launch of a limited edition product inspired by McDonaldland through collaborations between trendy clothing brand Paxun and travel retailers.
The Pacsun collaboration will be available for sweat sets and graphic tees on Tuesday, August 12th, while the away collaboration will include luggage tags and bag charms starting Monday, August 18th, with last supply.
New Happy Meal Features Hello Kitty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
McDonald’s “McDonald’s Land” meal may be inspired by past characters, but the new Happy Meal pays homage to the current characters.
The new Happy Meal, featuring Hello Kitty and the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles, also debuted at McDonald’s on August 12th. Like “McDonald’s Land” meals, you can only use it for a limited time.
The themed meals for kids include special figurines consisting of “a wild fusion of your favorite TMNT hero and Hello Kitty Crew.” According to McDonald’s, each Happy Meal will include one of the 12 figure options and a character card that explains “their unique skills and story.”
Signature Happy Meal Box features graphics for both fighting reptiles and cat-style girls. Purchases can be made in person or through the McDonald’s app at participating restaurants.
