The holiday season is approaching and McDonald’s is bringing back sweet treats to help customers celebrate.

The fast food chain is bringing back its holiday pies for a limited time starting November 14th.

McDonald’s says the handheld pie has a crunchy, buttery crust dusted with sugar, topped with rainbow sprinkles, and filled with a “creamy, smooth” custard filling.

The fan-favorite dessert first appeared on the menu in 1999 and quickly became a holiday staple at the chain.

McRib is back on the menu

In addition to holiday pies, McDonald’s also brought back the McRib this week.

Some people can now get the McRib. This sandwich can be found at restaurants in Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, and St. Louis. McDonald’s recommends checking availability at local restaurants.

The announcement comes after the sandwich began appearing in some markets last week, the McRib Locator website reported.

A McRib is a pork patty shaped like a rack of ribs, served in a bun with barbecue sauce, pickles, and onions. Therefore, the ribs are not involved. McRib is made from pork, water, salt, glucose, and rosemary extract.

McDonald’s has periodically brought the McRib back on the menu since removing the sandwich from its permanent menu in 2005. Re-appearances were held in 2020 and 2022 under the title of “Farewell Tour.” The McRib then returned to menus at select locations in 2023, and nationwide last year.
