McDonald’s global sales are due to the increased demand for promotions.
McDonald’s second quarter global comparable sales beating Wall Street estimates. This is because the bunch of affordable meals and promotions have been drawn to budget-wide diners looking to grow the dollar amid economic uncertainty.
This fall, a new special sauce will be coming to McDonald’s menu, the company announced.
In September this year, McDonald’s was offering a special edition of gold sauce. The Fast Food Joint describes it as “a golden sauce inspired by North Carolina BBQ.” The sauce can be requested on its own to soak or order with several different menu items.
The special sauce will take place a week after McDonald’s Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin & Cream Pie return on Friday, August 29th.

McDonald’s special edition of Gold Sauce will be available nationwide on September 3rd, but the last consumable item will be available.
What is McDonald’s Gold Sauce?
According to a news release, McDonald’s special edition of Gold Sauce is a blend of honey, smoke and mustard notes and North Carolina barbecue sauce.
The North Carolina-style barbecue is known for its low, slow cooked meat, served with a thin vinegar-based sauce, according to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.

McDonald’s has released several menu items with sauces including:

- Bacon Special Edition Gold Macrispy
- Bacon Special Edition Gold Deluxe Macrispy
