Maria Sharapova was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Roldy on Saturday, August 23rd.
Sharapova won 36 single titles with a record of 645-171 during his career. She has made nearly $39 million.
The Russian began his professional career in 2001 at the age of 14. She’s shy about her epic rivalry with Serena Williams.
Williams appeared as a surprise inductee of Sharapova.
“There are only a few players in my career who have challenged me to be the best. “Maria Sharapova was one of them. Whenever I saw her name next to me in a draw, I made sure I was practicing more.”

The women have been at the top of the game together for several years, playing 22 games against each other since 2004.
Their final match was in 2019. Williams managed to win Sharapova’s best with a 20-2 record. Williams also holds an 8-1 record in major events against Sharapova, including a 3-1 record in the major finals.
Sharapova’s two victories over Williams appeared in the Wimbledon Finals and the 2004 WTA Championship Finals.
