A new monster doll is taking the internet by storm. Influencers spend up to $85 on larger Lovebu dolls.
Pop Mart is launching a new blind box collection featuring a variety of fan-favorite characters, including Lovebub.
The “Why So Serious” vinyl plush pendant blind box hides the exact contents of the package until the customer opens it and features 10 pendants, including “rare” and “super rare” pendants inspired by various characters from Pop Mart’s collection, according to a press release emailed to USA TODAY by Pop Mart.
Released at the beginning of the Halloween season, the series takes Pop Mart’s IP and transforms it into circus-inspired characters resembling clowns and clowns.

When will the “Why So Serious” blind box be released?
According to Pop Mart, the blind boxes will go on sale on Thursday, October 9th at 10pm ET on the Pop Mart website.
Where can I buy the “Why So Serious” blind box?
The new “Why So Serious” blind box Labubus is available for purchase through the Pop Mart website and app, and can be downloaded to your phone through the Google Play Store or App Store.

How much does the “Why So Serious” blind box cost?
According to Pop Mart, each “Why So Serious” blind box retails for $42.99, not including tax or shipping. Customers may purchase up to 8 blind boxes at a time.
The entire set, which includes 8 of the 10 blind boxes, costs $343.92 before taxes and fees. However, each customer is limited to purchasing eight individual blind boxes plus a maximum of one of each set.
Compared to other Labubus-based series, the “Have a Seat,” “Big into Energy” and “Exciting Macaron” blind boxes retail for $27.99, not including taxes, shipping and handling, according to the website. If you want to buy the complete set of each series, which consists of 6 different blind boxes, separately, it will cost you $167.94 before tax.

- Crybaby Vinyl Plush Blister Pack ($50.99): A standalone premium release that reimagines Pop Mart’s CRYBABY character in clown form.
- pendant chain blind box ($19.99): A chain-style collection item that can be used as an everyday accessory.
- lovebu candy pouch ($34.99): Candy pouch and drawstring bag inspired by “Juggling Clown” Lovebu Designed for vinyl plush pendant blind boxes.
- Magnetic seal clip storage box set ($18.99)– Magnet with chip clip featuring characters from the collection.
- Mug ($45.99) – A mug with a lid designed to look like a red and white striped circus tent. “Juggling Clown” Lovebu The head is in the middle.
What is lovebu?
Lovebu is a monster-like doll with a large head, sharp teeth, and prominent eyes. The lovey-dovey keychains that everyone is obsessed with are fur-covered and come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes.
Pop Mart sells small love baths shaped like shrimp tempura, carries cola products, and sells items dressed as pumpkins.
Some may say this doll is a little scary, but others may find it very adorable.
The doll was designed by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung about 10 years ago.
But the Love Bus is now sold around the world as part of Beijing-based toy maker Popmart’s “The Monsters” series.
