It has only been 24 hours since Israel launched two major attacks on Iran. It aims to destroy the country’s nuclear sites and behead the military leaders in Tehran.
Iran, which has vowed to a “shattering response” to the attack, launched several waves of deadly strikes in Israel’s region overnight on Saturday, reporting deaths and multiple injuries.
Israel heard sirens on Saturday morning, and explosions were reported in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tehran.

Overnight strike: Iranian forces fired several missiles at Israel overnight until Saturday. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard said it targeted Israeli military centres and air bases in missile attacks on Friday. Meanwhile, Tehran’s air defense system was active early Saturday following another round of Israeli attacks, Iran’s state media reported.
Intercept and damage: Israeli forces claimed they intercepted several from the latest waves of Iranian missiles, but there are reports of people trapped under the wreckage of the building and homes that have been destroyed or damaged. The emergency crew was responding to the fallen projectile. A huge explosion was heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Death and Injury: Iran’s retaliatory strike killed at least two people, Israeli authorities said. One person was killed and more than 20 people were injured after an Iranian missile struck near Lishon Legion’s home just south of Tel Aviv. Then, a woman was killed when a fragment of the weapon fell on a Ramatgun near Tel Aviv. Israel’s envoy to the United States previously said about 40 people had been injured. In Iran, at least 78 people were killed in Israeli attacks. More than 320 people have been injured, most of whom have been injured to civilians, he added.
Air Force Bases Targeting Iran: Israeli forces said they attacked two Iranian airbases used for missile and drone operations on Friday. Hamadan Air Force Base in western Iran includes Tabriz Air Force Base, a surface-facing missile launch site located in the northwest of the country.
Future warnings: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said late Friday that Iran “crossed the red line” by firing the civilian population centre, vowed to pay “a very high price.” Iran said it would step up its attacks on Israel and target the country’s regional bases that try to protect it. Netanyahu warned Iran on Friday that “more is ongoing.”
Nuclear trade: Sixth round nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran were scheduled to begin on Sunday. US President Donald Trump told Reuters that Washington’s discussions with Iran are still planned, but he is not sure they will move on. Trump told NBC News that Iran “may have another opportunity” to launch a nuclear deal, hinting that Iranians are reaching out to him.
How did you get here: Earlier on Friday, Israel launched an unprecedented wave of strikes against Iran, crashing into a critical spot in the country’s nuclear program, struck residential areas in the capital Tehran, killing some of the country’s highest military leaders. Israel has repeatedly pushed for military options to stop Iran’s nuclear program. On Friday, Tehran said it was going on a “secret programme to assemble nuclear weapons” and it was now available to get it. Iran has repeatedly argued that its nuclear program was for energy purposes, without building any bombs.
