Trump fires Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook

On August 25th, President Donald Trump took the unprecedented action of firing Lisa Cook, the first African-American woman to serve as the federal reserve governor.

Judge temporarily blocks Kilmer Abrego Garcia’s deportation

A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from temporarily deporting Kilmer Abrego Garcia for the second time – after he was unfairly taken away by El Salvador earlier this year. Maryland District Judge Paula Sinis ruled on Monday that the government cannot deport Abrego Garcia until the government can hold a hearing in his latest lawsuit challenged him to exile. Xinis’ order came hours after our immigration agents took Abrego Garcia into custody, when he reported to the Immigration Customs Enforcement Field Office in Baltimore for what his lawyer was told was a mandatory check-in.
