Parking is not always an easy task.

Parallel parking can be difficult for both new drivers and senior citizens. Just the thought of parallel parking can be scary for any driver. But if you follow these simple steps to parallel park correctly, the process doesn’t have to be nerve-wracking.
How to parallel park
According to Driving-tests.org, parallel parking is divided into several steps.
position the car
When you find a parking space where you can park your car, park parallel to the car parked in front of the empty space. When queuing next to another car, make sure the bonnet is approximately parallel to the mirror.
put the car in reverse
Before you start backing up, use your turn signal to let others know you’re parallel parking. Check your mirrors for traffic and make sure there is no one in your blind spot. Then, when it is safe to do so, start reversing.
Turn the steering wheel towards the curb
Start turning the steering wheel toward the curb as you reverse into the location. Be sure to do so once the center of your car is aligned with the rear bumper of the car in front of you. Geico says you should approach the curb at a 45-degree angle.

Once your car’s right side mirror is in line with the car in front of you, start straightening by turning the wheel in the opposite direction, Geico says.
Adjust the position as necessary
Check around your car to see if you need to adjust your parking position. Shift back and forth to create an even gap between the car in front of you and the car behind you. Once this is done, you’re done.
Parallel parking tips
Once you get the hang of parallel parking, it will become easier over time, especially with practice.
Keep these tips in mind when attempting to parallel park:
Always check your mirrors, backup camera, or over your shoulder.
Doing this will ensure your safety as well as that of others. If there are passengers in your car, please get out of the car and guide them to the spot. This may be easy as it will tell you how close you are to other cars or curbs.
If it is determined that you will parallel park, it will signal.
Similar to the tip above, flagging lets others know that you are preparing to park and allows them to detour around you if necessary.
If you fail, try again.
If you’ve outgrown your space or are about to hit a curb, don’t be afraid to try again. Parallel parking is never an easy task, so give yourself plenty of time to start over and try again when you can.
