Trump is holding crypto dinners for the biggest Trump Coinbuyers
The president hosted top investors with his meme coins and rewarded the biggest buyers with gifts worth around $100,000.
Lamar Odom absorbed many admiration in his time in the NBA, including two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, on May 22 he met a boo while having dinner for the top investors in President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency venture.
Protesters gathered outside the Trump club in Sterling, Virginia, to wrap Odom with everyone entering the venue. One protester called him “Hypocrite!” Another lifted the sign “Don’t the con artist.” Others had banners that read “There is no king.”
Democrats and ethics experts have sharply criticised Trump’s crypto companies, saying they provide opportunities to access the wealthy and influence the president. Dinner for top buyers of $Trump Meme Coin is a vivid example of that, critics said.
A group of Congressional Democrats wrote to the Justice Department to urge agencies to investigate whether Trump’s crypto dinner violates the federal bribery law or foreign recruitment clauses in the constitution. The emolations phrase prohibits US officials from accepting “any kind of existence” from kings, princes, or foreign countries.
But White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt told reporters: “It’s ridiculous for anyone hinting that this president is profiting from the presidency.”
The White House refused to publish a list of dinner guests, but some have made publicly clear that they were present. Odom posted on social media that he was “dismissed” to attend the event, but the video showed only the jealous of the protesters as he stepped into the club.
“Think about it – what memecoin did this?” Odom wrote.
Odom also has his own meme coins that he advertised in the post.
Odom, a 14-year NBA veteran, lit up her marriage to Khloe Kardashian and appeared on her reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The couple also featured the show “Chloe & Lamar.” In 2015, Odom was found to be unconscious in a Nevada brothel after a drug overdose. The pair’s divorce was finalized in 2016.
