Lady Gaga’s Oscars show with Liza Minnelli wasn’t their first celebrity duet

Lady Gaga is gearing up for a one-night wedding.
After performing “Die With a Smile” at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show wedding, the pop superstar is gearing up for his own wedding.
In a pre-recorded message aired at an iHeartRadio and TikTok event previewing Bruno Mars’ new album, “The Romantic,” the “Abracadabra” singer revealed that she will soon marry her fiancé, tech entrepreneur Michael Polanski.
“My fiancé and I travel all year long,” Gaga said on Romantic Radio’s TikTok Live on March 6. “But we’re getting married soon, so I wanted you to choose a song that was special for us.”
Mars then said, “I want to dedicate this to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael, this is for you too,” and suggested the opening song, “Risk It All.”
Gaga has not revealed when or where the wedding will take place. News in March 2025 that she was “desperately trying to keep it a secret.”
How long have Lady Gaga and Michael Polanski been dating?
According to Vogue magazine, Gaga, 38, and Polanski, 42, met at mutual friend Sean Parker’s 40th birthday party at his Los Angeles home and began dating in 2019 after talking for three hours.
The two didn’t publicly confirm their relationship until February 3, 2020, when they posted on Instagram, where the “Joker 2” star shared a photo of the two on a boat in Florida with the caption, “We had so much fun in Miami. Love to my little monster and all the fans. You guys are the best! ❤️.”
In her October 2024 Vogue cover story, Gaga revealed that she and Polanski grew closer during the coronavirus pandemic. “When my mom met him, she said, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet a husband yet!’ Who could have imagined that my mom had found me the most perfect person?” she told the outlet.
“I didn’t know much about her and I honestly didn’t know what to expect,” Polanski said. “I was immediately struck by her warmth and generosity. She was very genuinely interested in what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.”
Who is Michael Polanski?
Polanski is a businessman and technology entrepreneur who holds roles in multiple nonprofit organizations and companies.
The Harvard graduate earned degrees in mathematics and computer science from 2006 to 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In 2022, he co-founded the skin health company Outer Biosciences. According to the company’s website, the company takes a scientific approach to improving “human skin health by discovering and developing novel bioactive substances that are more effective and safer than those currently available.”
Mr. Polanski also helps fund cancer research as a director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy.

Polanski previously supported the musician at One World: Together at Home, a concert Gaga organized to support the World Health Organization during the coronavirus pandemic.
At the 2026 Grammy Awards, she thanked her fiancé for helping her with “Mayhem,” which won Best Pop Vocal Album. “You’ve been by my side every day and I can’t thank you enough. And you’ve worked so hard with me on this album and all year long,” she said in her acceptance speech.
Gaga previously revealed that her song “Blade of Grass” was heavily influenced by Polanski’s proposal.
“We started working on that song after we got engaged,” she told USA TODAY in March 2025. “One time, we were in the backyard, and he said, “If you were to propose, what should I do?” I said, “Just wrap a blade of grass around my finger, and I’ll say yes.”
