World Kindness Day is Thursday, November 13th, and we celebrate acts of kindness, big and small, like holding the door open for someone, paying for their coffee, or giving them flowers.
On Nov. 13, Krispy Kreme will participate in its own act of kindness, giving customers a free dozen with original glaze when they buy a regular-priced dozen, the company said in a Nov. 10 news release.
This offer is available for purchase in-store and drive-thru at participating U.S. stores, or while supplies last, can be picked up or delivered via the Krispy Kreme website and app using the code BOGOFREE. The donut chain says there is a limit of two treats per guest.
“We believe in the power of kindness and the joy that comes from sharing,” Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer, said in a news release. “Donuts are a great way to be kind and show you care.”
What is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is an international day of awareness that highlights and encourages people to perform simple acts of kindness that positively impact people and communities.
The day began in 1998 with the World Kindness Movement, according to the nonprofit’s website.
“World Kindness Day is about highlighting good deeds in our communities, focusing on the positive forces and common threads of kindness that unite us,” the nonprofit said.
