Jimmy Kimmel still has his teeth set on President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Oct. 7’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the comedian slammed Attorney General Pam Bondi for refusing to answer questions at a Senate hearing despite repeatedly promising not to release the so-called Epstein File, the incriminating evidence about convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein held by the FBI and Department of Justice.
“There were a lot of questions about the Epstein file, but no answers about the Epstein file,” Kimmel said.
He also showed footage of former prosecutor and Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse asking Bondi if he knew if the FBI had discovered a photo of President Trump with a “half-naked young woman” that Epstein had circulated, to which the attorney general responded, “You sit here and make vile statements and try to smear President Trump again, on the left and the right…”
After the video, Kimmel said, “You didn’t hear the word ‘no’ there, did you?”
Mr. Kimmel then played footage of Mr. Whitehouse repeating the question before Mr. Bondy rolled his eyes and asked, “You don’t know anything about that?” Bondi responded with silence, which the White House took as a no.
“Attorney General, did you eat the Polaroid yourself?” Kimmel joked.
It then played Bondi’s response to Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin’s question about why he didn’t compile a list of Epstein’s clients. In it, the attorney general said she had not reviewed the list and that other files were waiting on her desk.
“[She]had other things to do. ‘Do I want Bigfoot to turn my child into a transgender person? No! Let me do my job,'” Kimmel joked.
Kimmel continued, “One thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump doesn’t want us to see these files. To me, that’s all you need to know. I mean, you walk up to a teenager and he suddenly takes off the cover and slams his laptop shut. I think we have a good idea why. We don’t need to see his browser history.”
USA TODAY has reached out to the White House for comment.
The segment featured Kimmel making fun of Trump after the president increased his approval ratings while the president mocked Kimmel about his TV ratings. Kimmel has been particularly harsh against the president, claiming that the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission pressured ABC to take action and tried to “cancel” him after Trump was suspended after Trump celebrated the move.
“I have no choice but to feel sorry for him. He did everything in his power to cancel me. In return, he forced millions of people to watch the show,” he responded in a monologue during ABC’s late-night show’s return after its cancellation. “It backfired in a big way. Now he may have to release Epstein’s files to distract us.”
