After revitalizing two fan favorites this summer, KFC is reclaiming yet another classic menu item. The original honey barbecue sauce will return on Monday, October 6th.
“KFC’s original honey barbecue is more than just a menu offering, it has become a cultural touchstone that fans have been craving for years and asking us to come back,” US KFC president Katherine Tan Gillespie said in a news release.
KFC introduced its original honey barbecue sauce in the late 90s, becoming the “cult classic” as mentioned by the news release. The sauce was led by KFC to create and distribute wet napkins, as the sauce could number with fingers, chin and occasionally with white shirts.
In August, KFC regained potato wedges and hot, spicy wings after high demand. Both items will remain on the menu.

In the menu throw-back theme, KFC sells chicken sandwiches at a discounted price of $3.99.
13-day trading for reward members
To celebrate Halloween, KFC is offering KFC Rewards members a 13-day transaction. For the 13 days ending October 31st, reward members can unlock special offers such as free classic chicken sandwiches for a $10 purchase or a 50% off 12-piece chicken-only bucket. These rewards are only available for orders placed via the KFC Mobile App or the website.
