WASHINGTON – A federal judge on August 21 banned President Donald Trump’s administration and Florida state, bringing new detainees to the Everglades remote immigration detention center known as the “Alligator Alcatraz” in the Florida Everglades.

US District Judge Kathleen Williams also ordered the demolition of several sides of the facility when current detainees moved, according to a court filing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The judge sided with an environmental group that said the facility was putting the Everglades and its wildlife at risk.
